This week's email talked a little bit of my love for football. I grew up in the NorthEast and rooted for the Patriots đ . My family and our friends would gather on Sundays and eat way too much food. We would wear our team shirts and yell at the TV. Does this sound familiar?
Thinking about football this time of year led me to create a fun word card activity that I am gifting to the community this week. Keep reading to grab yours. đ It also got me thinking about teamwork. đ players must depend on, learn from each other, and work together to be successful. This is also what I believe teachers should do so that all of our students can also be successful.
On Saturday, September 25, I will be hosting a bootcamp that will bring together up to 20 attendees where I will share ways to keep engagement high with struggling readers and those students challenged by ADHD and dyslexia. I'll help prepare you to effectively teach using science-based strategies and multi-sensory methods. Watch the video below to see a clip from my past bootcamp.đ
I'll also make sure that each person will leave the workshop with a toolbox of strategies, resources, and time-saving techniques all centered around a minimal-technology method of teaching. Anyone attending will also learn to prepare lessons more effectively, leave with successfully proven behavior tips, and have movement-based activities that they can immediately use to improve the way they teach their students.
