Why should you attend?
I am sure you guys are overloaded with webinars and presentations, why should you give me your time?  Do you remember when you took all those classes and read all those books from university, but when you entered the classroom you were lost?  I am sure that’s how you feel right now!  I felt that way when I first started teaching online nearly 2 years ago.  The bad news is teaching online is HARD!  The only way I learned to be better as an online teacher, was all the on the job training with my students. Is anyone in your webinars telling you what to do when a student shows up in their bed?  Or how about when their materials are downstairs?  Presenters sharing what to do with the student that pretends they can’t hear you?  Writes all over the lesson plan?  Sinks out of the screen?  There has to be a better way!  Learn from someone who all those things have happened to and my students trained me through over a 1 and a half of trial and error.  Let me give you some shortcuts and suggestions you can use tomorrow!
About me:
I was a special educator in Massachusetts for 7 years, before launching my online business of 1.  I have worked online successfully with students with ADHD, early literacy needs, and reading disabilities.  To this date, I have helped train over 1000 teachers to work online successfully with an emphasis on keeping things super simple and connecting to students.  I  am dual certified with a Master’s in Elementary Education and Teaching Moderate Disabilities Pre-k-8 from Lesley University. While teaching at Sudbury Public Schools in MA, I earned my Wilson Certification, Empower Certification, and attended training in behavior management, Project Read, assistive technology, diagnostic assessments, multi-sensory methods, and Fundations. For the past 4 years, I have been part of the home school initiative for students with special needs, facilitated virtual learning for school choice, and have been a private educator for students with dyslexia and early literacy needs.  Additionally, I recently received training in Lively Letters, Social Skills Thinking, and Handwriting without Tears.
