I love bringing energy and movement to the video for my wiggly students and teachers like you! Whether through tutoring or teaching, I want to give you the experience of learning how to teach online and not make it feel so scary.   Teaching online before the pandemic, my students threw a lot of challenge balls at me, helping me be a better teacher and be able to show up for you. I love sharing strategies and tips so we can keep spreading our talents worldwide because there are not enough of us to help children in need. And as a bonus, we gain the flexibility to work from anywhere. When I started teaching online, I failed every day, and my students hated our classes. They helped me realize I was using way too many slides and websites. They were missing activities that we had done in person. My students have helped me think outside the box and simplify instruction while maintaining an essential student-teacher connection. I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts, and I am a certified dyslexia practitioner. This interactive set of workshops will focus on elevating student engagement, maintaining multi-sensory methods, minimizing tech online for successful lessons, decreasing prep setting up behavior systems, and weaving quick motivating activities into each part of a structured literacy lesson.
